Terms of Service

Last updated October 2026.

The service

LaTeXTool provides free, browser-based tools for writing LaTeX equations, symbols, tables, matrices, and documents. No account is required and there are no fees. We may update, change, or discontinue any tool at any time.

Your content

Everything you create with LaTeXTool is yours. Because all processing happens in your browser, we never receive, store, or claim any rights over your equations, tables, resumes, or papers. You are responsible for the accuracy of your content and for complying with the submission requirements of any journal, conference, employer, or institution you send it to.

Acceptable use

Use the tools for lawful purposes. Do not attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it at abusive rates, or misrepresent generated output as officially endorsed by any venue, publisher, or employer. Venue templates are formatting aids modeled on public guidelines — always verify against the official style files before a camera-ready submission.

No warranty

LaTeXTool is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Generated LaTeX is a starting point: preview rendering uses KaTeX, which does not implement every LaTeX package, so always compile your final document with a full TeX distribution (TeX Live, MacTeX) or Overleaf before submitting or publishing.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LaTeXTool is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the tools, including rejected submissions or formatting errors. Your use of the site constitutes acceptance of these terms.
