Privacy Policy
Last updated October 2026. Short version: your documents never leave your browser.
What we collect
Nothing. LaTeXTool has no accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics. We do not track you across pages, we do not build profiles, and we do not sell or share any data — because there is no data to share.
Where your documents live
Everything you type — equations, tables, resumes, papers — is processed locally on your device by JavaScript running in your browser. Builder drafts are saved to your browser's own storage (OPFS/IndexedDB and localStorage for preferences like theme) so your work survives a refresh. None of it is transmitted to us or to any third party. Clearing your browser data removes it permanently.
Cookies
LaTeXTool itself sets no cookies and runs no analytics scripts. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may set short-lived security cookies for bot protection and traffic routing. Those are controlled by Cloudflare's privacy policy, not ours, and contain no content you create on this site.
Third parties
Pages load fonts and scripts from our own domain only. When you click an export button, the file is generated on your device and downloaded directly — no server round-trip. If you paste exported code into Overleaf, Word, or any other service, that service's privacy policy applies from that point on.
Children
LaTeXTool collects no personal information from anyone, including children, because it collects no personal information at all.
